The Queens Alumnae Chapter was chartered on June 4, 1951, by 11 dynamic women, including our Founder Ethel Cuff Black. For many years, the Queens Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. has been a staple in the Queens community. We have worked hand in hand with community leaders, educators, and social activists to fulfill the commitment of enhancing and improving the lives of those in the Queens community.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. operates under our National Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of Economic  Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement. Following this framework, we strive to address the needs of our Queens County global and diverse community.

Our current chapter membership of over 200 women is comprised of various educational and professional backgrounds. Together we work toward the common goal to impact lives and positively transform our community. As we reflect on the work we've done in the past, we look forward to the work we need to accomplish in the future. Thank you for your time, support, collaboration, and encouragement as we forge ahead to make impactful changes to those we serve.
